Passengers

Recently I've come to believe that we are all but passengers, satellites drifting through this life, this consciousness.
I don't believe we are in total control of our lives, to some degree we are pulled and pushed by other forces, like the planets that circle the sun, we too succumb to gravity, we ebb and flow like the tides, the choices we make in life and indeed even those made by the others around us, may pull the strings and change the courses of our lives.
 Are our minds  but receivers for the waves and frequency of consciousness?
What if this is all just a dream?
What unimaginable forces may be at play?
I remember when I was a child thinking to myself how do I know that what I see is really what I see?
And once again I find myself asking this question,  pondering what  really lies behind what we see?
What remains unseen and unknown?
Much of what we think we see is our brain's manifestation, piecing together what little amount of  visual information we can absorb at one time and then painting it's own picture of reality , thus creating our own individual perceptions.
Do any of us  really see things the same way?
 I believe the mind is an extension of the soul and that our inner being is separate to our physical being, the essence of who we are is not what we look like and what others see, it is in our actions, our morals, our personalities, our likes and dislikes, our passions and fears, our humanity.We are spiritual creatures in a physical world.
